COMBINED THERAPIES:
When one form of therapy alone may sometimes be insufficient or extremely slow in bringing the required health benefits, combining therapies is often an extremely powerful and effective mean of getting long lasting results.
In the course of your treatment, I may prescribe Chinese Herbal Medicine, some Western herbal remedies or some homeopathic tablets.
I may also give you some dietary advice or ask you to go on a specific diet; in this case a diet sheet will be provided

TREATMENT OF BABIES AND CHILDREN:
Children of all ages respond well to alternative therapies; I do not use acupuncture with young children, but acupressure or the stimulation of points with a laser are more than sufficient.
Homeopathic remedies are usually combined with laser, or acupressure; sometimes herbal medicine can also be prescribed.
Babies are often treated in this way for teething, eczema or allergic reactions; older children can be helped with similar complaints as adults.

MALE AND FEMALE FERTILITY PROBLEMS :
After so many years of experience in treating infertility, I have developed a very good method of combining, according to the individual needs of the patients, acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Homeopathy
For the support of IVF and other assisted pregnancy techniques, I combine acupuncture and homeopathy

PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH:
Acupuncture and homeopathy are very safe for an expectant mother, as the treatment cannot affect the baby.
In the early stages of pregnancy, symptoms such as morning sickness and fatigue can quickly be alleviated; in the later stages, back pain, digestive problems and other discomforts respond well to either treatments
When necessary, it is possible to induce a birth using a special technique of acupuncture; homeopathic remedies are of great help before, during and after birth.

MEDICATIONS AND CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT:
You should tell your doctor if you are receiving any form of alternative medicine; she or he may not believe in the benefits of non conventional medicine, but doctors are entitled to their opinion as much as you are free to choose your preferred form of healthcare.
Many GPs are now better informed and much more positive toward alternative medicine.
In my opinion, conventional and alternative medicine complement each other and it is up to you if you want to benefit from the best of both worlds.

Many drugs such as thyroxin or antihypertensive are life saving; you should not stop or reduce your medication until there is some evidence that it is safe to do so.

CANCER AND LIFE THREATENING DISEASES:
Conventional treatment for cancer and life threatening disease is often harsh, but necessary.
The use of acupuncture, herbal medicine and homeopathy is, in my experience, of great help to assist a patient undergoing radio or chemio-therapy; it is also very supportive before and after a surgical intervention.
There are time where drastic measures are needed to treat the disease, in this circumstances, it is important to find some effective ways of supporting the patient. This is a clear example where conventional and alternative medicine complement each other.
